“After my first session I began to see a light at the end of the tunnel. I knew I could eventually find myself and be happy again.”
Does it feel like you and your mate are worlds apart? If you answered "yes," I can help. I help Austin couples recreate closeness and intimacy with each other.

I'm an LPC-S (Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor) who has been practicing in the mental health field since 2006.
While I love working with individuals, and individual therapy currently comprises approximately one-third of my practice, I quickly discovered my absolute passion for working with couples in Couple's Counseling, and this is the area I've become most known for throughout my years in practice. I'm also a wife and mother of two myself, and so I can personally relate to how challenging marriage can be at times! In this way, most clients find that I'm not only an expert source for information and tools, but that I'm also relatable and easy to talk to as well.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy cooking, going to the movies with my husband Jim, adventures in being a mom to Jack and Samantha, and getting out to our family ranch in west Texas as often as we can.

Counseling can provide couples with vital communication and conflict resolution skills to weather life's difficult times and wind up closer than before.

Strengthen your future marriage by communicating about crucial issues such as finances, sex, conflict resolution and role expectations before the big day.

Confused by how to navigate today's world of dating? Learn how to operate during the crucial stage of dates 1-10 while quickly weeding out those who are incompatible.

Are you a woman who is tired of running on empty? You are inspiring. You are enough. Learn how to truly feel and believe those statements.

It feels hopeless when it seems nobody cares or understands. Through relationship woes, grieving or feelings of depression, counseling can provide the support you need to get through.

Let's get on with the business of making you not just a phenomenal counselor, but a successful one too.
I accept cash, check, credit cards and health savings account (HSA) cards.
When you schedule an appointment with me that time slot is reserved especially for you and you will be responsible for paying my full rate of $150 ($185 for couples) unless you can provide me with a minimum 24 hours' notice of the need to cancel. The late cancellation fee for a missed 90 minute appointment is $200. Please note that insurance does not cover cancellation fees.
I do not accept insurance for many reasons. Taking insurance would mean that I'm required to formally diagnose all of my clients with a psychiatric mental disorder, which in many cases is neither appropriate nor necessary for treatment. I also believe that decisions regarding your care is up to us to decide and not your insurance company.
Currently, I shift between offering all sessions via telehealth and in person as COVID fluctuates and according to Austin's current stage of risk-based guidelines. In any season, I'm happy to offer all sessions via telehealth as long as it is clinically appropriate for those who feel more comfortable not coming into the office.
